May 9 - 16, 2009

Eat Lappert's Ice Cream and Shaka Tacos, also go tothe beach a lot. We came down here to get married and had the time of our lives! Weather was great, condo had everything we needed and Julie made our stay amazing!! Olympic Cafe, Coconut Marketplace and Island Tattoo are the best!!

April 8 - 20, 2009

Aloha Julie ad Greg, First of all, I have to tell you how at home we felt here in your condo. It was our first time back in Hawaii for many, many years (after living on Maui for 11 years ('82 to '93) and some of the pictures (the 2 hula girls above the couch) were pictures I still have at home. (but ours were from a calendar) The feeling here, with all your great touces, organizatoin, books, cd's, and of course the ever-present pounding, crashing surf filling the condo with the sound of the sea... Paradise! We were ver involved with hula on Maui, and so your hula themed decor was perfect! Plus, we happen to be here while the Merrie Monarch was happening - so got to watch a lot of it on TV, as it happened, and cheered on my former kumu hula.

Kauai is so spectacular - we drove up to Waimea and also to Hanalei Bay ad beyond. Beauty indescribable. Walked and swam (when it was calm) on this beautiful beach, and at Lydgate and made great use of the Kaua'i Guidebook here. (Mahalo!) for the good grinds (especially local food - my husband especially missed lau-lau, kalua pork, poke, etc.) and also for beach and "sights" information. We joked that it was our "bible". Had some very magical times includting a spontaneous invitation to a beach wedding by the Hilton, where we participated in the entertainment w/Larry Rivera... (hula & guitar) All in all, an amazing vacation. Mahalo nui loa - We hope to return! A hui hou!

March 8-15, 2009

We spend a great week enjoying this beautiful island. The Beach House for a sunset dinner on our 25th wedding anniversary was spectacular. The condo was comfortable and we especially liked the pineapple slicer! Thank you Julie for the bottle of merlot. We enjoyed it with steaks we cooked on the grill. We hope to comd back!

January 21 - 25, 2009

We came to Kauai as the 2nd stop on our honeymoon. We loved Kauai & we loved the condo! We hope to return someday and we would definitley stay here again!

January 16 - 20, 2009

What a beautiful island - Kauai. And what a nice surprise with such a beautiful condo. We were here for our son's (and new "daughter's") wedding. We werent sure about their "destination wedding" but I have to say it was beautiful. There were 7 condos of family and friends. I haven't seen any of their condos but everyone said we had the nicest one. The attention to detail in all you have done & the decor was appropriate for the island touch - very nice & I would come back again, if ever possible.

November 18 - 25, 2008

Left rainy cold and arrived in sunny & warm for 2 days, then monsooned for 2 days. Good thing came of that. My 12 yr old daughter got to see "Twilight" and we had lots of family time! So then the sun comes out and my name is Cherry Tomato. Wear sunscreen ;-) Julie, the accommodations were perfect & thank you so much for spending so much phone time with us. We will certainly be back.

November 6 - 13, 2008

This was our second trip to Kauai and this trip was even better than the first. The condo was better than imagined, very well appointed - we loved sgtaying here. Thank you for letting us stay here - we hope to come back soon. Best regards.

October 26 - November 3, 2008

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely condo. Your attention to detail is much appreciated - all the comforts of home. Kauai is so beautiful. We enjoyed every day of our vacation. That you very much!

October 8 - 15, 2008

Thank you for making our honeymoon that much more amazing with a stay at your condo. We can't wait to come back and spend an anniversary (or two or three) on this beautiful island. Enjoyed the peacefulness and all the "green" that Kauai has to offer. The driving tours in the Kauai Trailblazers book led us to a few beaches and hikes that we would have otherwise not discovered. (And they were awesome!) Mahalo

P.S. Shaka Tacos & Olympic Cafe are great!! :-)

September 23 - October 3, 2008

We had an amazing time while visiting Kauai. The condo totally exceeded our expectations and felt like home. We will be back to the Garden Island as soon as we can. Mahalo.

September 13 - 21, 2008

We were happy to spend our 1st wedding anniversary at Wailua Bay View. We enjoyed swimming, hiking, snorkeling, paddle board surfing and relaxing. Can't wait to come back and get more sun. Mahalo!

July 17 - September 4, 2008

My Reflections of Kauai...

As warm radiant sunlight continues to filter through tall, majestic palms, coupled with the soothing sounds of ocean waves as they crash upon the serated-cream colored shorelines, and the last noticeable traces of a vibrant rainbow vanish from the tropical natural beauty of this garden island, I find myself once again surrounded by complete serentiy and solitutde.

Once again, I've really enjoyed my stay here at Wailua Bay View. The "aloha spirit" shown by the people that live here - and the owners of unit 210 is the reason I choose to spend my summers here.

One of this year's highlights was to see th movie "Tropic Thunder" which was filmed on Kauai last summer while I was here. I had the good fortune to witness first hand several weeks of "filming" locations with the cast and crew from Hollywood.

Awesome production! Awesom summer! Mahalo!

June 27 – July 5, 2008

Thank you Julie and Greg for providing such a comfortable environment.  We have stayed in other VRBO condos, however, yours has exceeded our expectations.  The view is superb with so much going on....  Cruise ships, kite surfing, snorkelers, swimmers and paddle board surfers.  Our stay was relaxing with walks on the beach and swimming.  We will definitely be return.  Mahalo!

June 10 – 26, 2008  (Owner Visit)

Since moving to Kauai somewhat permanently, I got a chance to stay in the condo, like a guest with my son.  We stayed busy with activities (ATV tour, kayaking, etc.) so didn’t have time for maintenance, but made a mental note and arrangements to get some things replaced in the coming weeks.  (New sliding screen doors, mirror, new lamp shades, etc.)  If any of you guests have an urgent need for assistance with the condo amenities, feel free to call me.  Mahalo!

June 6 – 10, 2008

This bay, this condo is Kauai to us.  We have visited beaches all over the island and we always appreciate sitting on your lanai and taking in this beautiful view.  We normally stay here in March, so we have missed   the whales in the horizon, but the Hawaiian sea turtle has visited us in the rocks again.  We can’t remember exactly what drew us to your lovely condo but we know well why we came back and your hospitality and love of Hawaiiana are a large part of why we have come to love this island.  Thank you Julie and family for sharing.  The best is yet to come for you.

May 18 – 27, 2008

What a beautiful island and the condo was excellent.  The beach was great.  We saw a stingray and many turtles from the balcony.  Loved the furniture, pics, etc.

May 11 – 18, 2008

Kauai is a beautiful island and our accommodations was one of the best we’ve had anywhere-definitely a home away from home-your attention to detail is excellent.  We enjoyed briefly exploring so many wonderful parts of the island-one week is just not enough!  We thought Waimea Canyon was outstanding.  Thank you for your hospitality.

May 3 – 10, 2008

What an outstanding week.  This has been the vacation of a lifetime for us and the condo has been terrific.  Perfect location, well appointed and very quiet.  (except for the waves!!)  I feel like we are leaving a piece of us here in Kauai but taking a piece of Kauai in return.  Fair enough trade, I suppose.

January 13 – March 13, 2008

We have enjoyed your lovely condo-loved the new frig and washer-dryer.  Our weather was so good, we didn’t try the new a/c.  We love Kauai and Wailua Bay View.  Fred and Josephine have been wonderful to help us.  Hope we can return.

November 29- December 4, 2007

We've been to Kauai many times and have stayed at Wailua Bay View but never this unit.  What a treat this week to have such a nice "home" for a week.  The decorations - great - and the amenities cover every situation.  The organization with the labeling was wonderful!  Mahalo!

October 4 - 19, 2007

Kauai is our favorite island.  Thank you for sharing your lovely condo with us.  It had everything & more than we needed.  Also very clean.  We spent 10 wonderful days here.  Our grandson came over for a couple of days and was pleasantly surprised how lush and beautiful everything is here.

Thanks again.  We will be back.  The view is awesome.

November 8-11, 2007

Mahalo Julie!  Even though we could only spend a few days here, we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  Having read that the only way to see Kauai is by helicopter, that is the first thing we did.  What a beautiful island!  We then spent the rest of our time driving all over the island.  We are sorry to leave, but we are moving on to Oahu, Maui and the Big Island.  This is our first trip to Hawaii and expect it to be one of our best vacations.  Your perfect hospitality made our stay in Kauai perfect.

September 16, - 23, 2007

Aloha Julie and Greg!

Thanks so much for setting us up with this condo and the luau.  We were able to spend a few days on the Kalalau Trail andit was nice to have a comfortable "basecamp" to come back to.  We particularly enjoyed the colorful flowers and birds - so different from Seattle.  We really couldn't have wished for a better honeymoon, and it sure would have been nice to spend another week!

September 8 - 15, 2007

Mahalo over and over for sharing your piece of paradise here with us.  We live at 8,000 ft. in Colorado and it has it's owne beauty, but this was magnificent.  We did a lot of things and only wish we could stay longer.  We prepare to leave today, and if we return, we would love to stay here, unless you are retired to here by then.  Everything was perfect.  We lacked for nothing.

July 19 - September 6, 2007

Dear Julie & Greg,

My return trip to Kauai has been great!  Renting your condo now for many years, it just keeps getting better and better.

Your personal touch with decorating is reflected in your entire amenities in the condo, including your Hawaiian CDs which I greatly appreciate.  I play them morning and night.

My personal thoughts

As tropical tradewinds chase after white puffy cumulus clouds in the stratosphere layer and golden sunlight and mystical shadows dance off the serrated ridges of the "Sleeping Giant" trail, couples with the Wailua River as it winds through deep forests and plunges over magificent and graceful waterfalls before it empties into the "sparkling" South Pacific, I've come to realize Kauai is my paradise dream that completely surrounds my heart.

Retirement is another name for adventure.  I've been blessed and given another tranquil summer filled with solitude and natural beauty.

Tomorrow, I prepare to say "goodbye" to my friends, then back to the condo for one last swim.  Looking forward to my next visit -- 08.

Mahalo Nui Loa!

June 21 - July 19, 2007

Owner visit -- This was a working vacation for me, as a wedding officiant.  I performed 12 weddings while on island and met some interesting people doing that, including two celebrities.  We did manage to take a couple of weeks off to update the condo and relax on the beautiful beaches of Kauai.

We updated some of the furnishings, a new refrigerator, new shower doors, refinished the furniture and had it reupholsterd, as well as making some minor repairs and tri-yearly maintenance.

I love reading the comments in the guest book, keep them coming!

June 7, 2007 - June 21, 2007
Aloha!

15 glorious days in paradise.  Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.  We found everything we needed, which helped make this our most special vacation in 31 years.

May 14, 2007 - May 21, 2007
Aloha,

We spent a glorious week in Kauai! We got married & had our honeymoon here.  Enjoyed the beaches & the jungle (+ the shopping).
We will be back again & again.  Kauai is the Best!!

January 2, 2007 - March 2, 2007
Dear Julie and Greg,

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 months in your condo.  It is so well equipped.  I think we used everything but the spring form pan!  Thank you for so promptly taking care of the washer and dryer.  The refrigerator continues with its thumps, but it did make it!  [Owner note:  A new refrigerator was installed shortly after this guest left.]  We met nice people here in the condo and in Kapaa, and much prefer this east side to Poipu where we stayed last year.  So it is with much regret that we leave tomorrow for the Big Island, but with much gratitude for having been able to experience 2 idyllic moths in your Kauaian Condo.  We'll be back!

December 25, 2006 -January 1, 2007
We've celebrated our family reunion here on Kauai during the Christmas holidays - some of us traveling as far away  theas Long Island, NY.

For all but one of us, it is our first trip to the Islands.  And Kauai is exactly what we imagined.  The beauty of this wonderfule garden paradise will remain in our memories forever.  We've hiked snorkeled, kayaked, walked the beaches, in search of these memories.

We've enjoyed this wonderful condo, especially sitting on the lanai, watching the sunrise and the surf.

And now, we're back to New York with numerous pictures and stories!  Mahalo!

December 10 - 24, 2006

We absolutely loved staying at unit #210 at the Wailua Bay View. The owners have clearly taken the trouble to make their guests feel at home, very thoughtful indeed with attention to little things that can make a vacation hassle-free and comfortable. I also loved the collection of books on the history of the island as well as the informative guides.

The view of the bay was awesome. The apartment was clean and well equipped with all essentials. Your on-site manager, Fred, was a delight to meet with and very helpful.

Your reservations staff is very efficient and amiable.  Many thanks to Bill and Crystal.

November 14-18, 2006
Our trip to Kauai was a once in a lifetime event.  Our family and friends joined us here for our wedding November 10, 2006.  It was a wonderful experience.  We stayed our first 7 days in 310  (forgot to write in their book) it was a very nice unit, but Julie and her family have really put their aloha ito 210 and have really thought of everything you could need here.  Julie and Marcie are part of our ohana and we are al so thankful for all of their help with the ceremony and planning.  We love the island of Kauai and hope to return soon.  We have been truly blessed to be able to be here and spend time with those we love.  Malama Pono and A Hui Hou.

October 24 - November 14, 2006

Owner stay -- Had a great time.

September 25 - October 23, 2006

We are "every year visitors" (since 1973) to Hawaii and visitors to Kauai since mid-1980's.  We have stayed at Wailua Bay View, I think 5 times, and unit 210 for the 3rd time.  Unit 210 is the best by far, of other units at Wailua Bay View, and best on the island.  (Okay, maybe the Hyatt on Shipwreck is pretty good also!)  We will return.  We were treated one morning to a spectacular show, of spinner dolphins in Wailua Bay, just about 100 yards off shore.  They were really showing off!  This year we experienced, for the first time, an earthquake as well as the disappearance of the tradewinds for a couple weeks.  None of this really mattered, as we enjoyed every moment here.  Only disappointment was no rainbows this year, and major increase in traffic between Wailua and Waipouli.

Julie, I know you're coming in behind us, so please enjoy your stay.  We tried our best to take good care of 210.

September 19 - 24 2006
Came to celebrate 24 years of marriage and found our new favorite place.  Thanks for the wonderful time.

September 14 - 19, 2006
First time on the island, couldn't have chosen a better place to rest our weary bones.  The comforts of the condo were well above our expectations.  Breathtaking helicopter tour with Island Helicopters was quite spectacular.  Being able to utilize the kitchen and grill worked well for us.  You folks have quite a treasure in your home at Wailua Bay View.

September 7 - 14, 2006
Kauai and St Sylvester's Church were the perfect place to celebrate the marriage of our son and daughter-in-law.  They were married on Saturday the 9th of September.  Kauai was their choice and it was a truly perfect choice.  The island still has most of its old world feel.  We had the pleasure of sharing the time with our new in-laws as well.  These are two great kids who chose to spend their day and time with their parents.  Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us.

July 20 - September 7, 2006
Reflections of Kauai...  As spectacular rays of sunlight dance across the deep blue sky and the white tipped waves continue to melt away onto the shoreline of the South Pacific, coupled with the tradewinds as they swirl tall, majestic palms in gentle breeze and beautiful sunsets, I suddenly realize my hours are numbered and foot prints are few.

My time here on Kauai has been great!  The amenities in the condo and the Hawaiian CDs are greatly appreciated.  Most meals were spent in the condo, listening pounding surf and watching skilled surfers ride their waves.  The colorful rainbows and waterfalls, coupled with cream colored beaches, and the Hawaiian people, will be swept away in my tropical island memories for a long time.

Thanks again Julie and Greg for sharing your condo.  Looking forward to my '07 trip.  Aloha and Mahalo.

June 11 - June 18, 2006
We came to Kauai on our honeymoon, and it was awesome.  Off to Oahu we go.  Thanks and we will see you again in the future.

May 20 - May 24, 2006
Aloha! This was our first trip to Kauai and we loved every minute!  We are already planning our second!  We were so impressed by the condo; thank-you for all the thoughtful and personal touches, such as the information on beaches, dining, etc...  Very appreciated!

The view here is breathtaking and we are going to miss the sound of the waves crashing... so soothing!  We also thought the condo was ideally located (ie. staying on the east side) for exploring the whole island.  We had a wonderful day exploring the North side and recommend it... particularly Anini & Ke'e Beaches and Hanalei.  We had dinner at "Postcards" in Hanalei, and it was excellent!  On the way, make sure you stop at "Banana Joe's" just outside of Kilauea, for a frosty yum.

Other highlights of our trip included a kayak/hike up the Wailua River with Outfitters Kauai.  (Our guide, Spot, was great) and a zodiac adventure up the Na Pali coastline with Captain Andy of Kauai Sea Tours... What a blast!  We found that after we arrived and got our bearings, there is just so much to do here...  can't wait to come back.

Mahalo for sharing your condo with us and for helping to make our Kauai holiday fantastic.  We will definitely recommend your condo to anyone!

May 10 - May 19, 2006
Aloha! This has been a wonderful visit to Kauai.  The condo was perfect!  I particularly enjoyed the complete kitchen - you have everything!  The crockpot was great to fix up in the AM & have dinner after a day at the beach.  My husband really appreciated the DSL Internet.  This really was a vacation, but he had some unexpected business come up and the DSL was a life-saver for him.  Thank you for having that access.  And here are some of our favorites.  We have been to Kauai several times & these remain our special places :  1) When at Duke's (at the Marriott) Kalapaki Beach, splitting a piece of the Hula Pie.  That ice cream treat is big enough for 2 people & is definitely Hawaiian yummy.  2)  When in Koloa, try the local food - a plate lunch at Sueoka's, next to the general store.  A big money saver.  3)  For a beautiful late afternoon/sunset experience, go into Princeville.  There a 2 must stops.  At the Hanalei Bay Resort (first see the view from the viewing stand in the parking lot) go to the Bali Hai Bar in the lobby area.  Fantastically beautiful views.  It's not called Bali Hai for nothing.  Happy Hour at reduced prices, complimentary pupus at 4:30 on Fridays.  Then move on to the Princeville Hotel.  "The Living Room" lounge/bar area to the left in the huge room is beautiful.  Enjoy the sunset from the inside, in the sofas, or walk out onto the terrace.  Have a Diet Coke - you still have the drive home.  Mahalo for a beautiful stay.  We'll be back!

April 11 - April 18, 2006
Aloha - This was our first visit to Kauai.  We love it here.  We had great weather.  We were able to snorkel, which we love to do.  We really enjoyed the condo.  Great view!  Everything we needed.  I enjoyed the wireless internet - HUGE plus.  I can't wait to come to come back.  I've decided this is our favorite island.  We still need to do more and see more.  Time ran out.  Thanks for allowing us to stay at your condo!  Fred is great - so nice.

March 17 - March 25, 2006
Aloha!  We love Kauai - We came here for the first time 4 years ago on our honeymoon and fell in love with the island.  We came back to celebrate my husband's 20th birthday.  What a wonderful week we have had.  We have been blessed with a few truly gorgeous sunny days.  What a magical, beautiful place this is.  We will be back.  Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.  We felt very comfortable and welcome here, with all the comforts of home.

March 2 - March 9, 2006
Mahalo!  My first visit to Kauai and what can I say - it is truly beautiful!  The people, the scenery and the weather are all outstanding! WBV #210 is a wonderful condo, supplied with everything that is needed.  Love your art on the walls!  I will certainly be back to lovely Kauai and your lovely condo!  Mahalo nui loa!

January 21 - January 28, 2006
MAHALO! for letting us use your beautiful condo.  This is a wonderful place.  We came to Kauai (most of us - 23!) for the first time for our brother's wedding.  They were married on Baby Beach on January 23rd.  It was gorgeous!  All 23 family members enjoyed our stay.  We appreciate the hospitality.  We did lots of fun stuff here and now we are leaving to spend 4 days on Oahu.  Then it's back to the -17 degree weather in good old Alaska!  Mahalo.

December 27, 2005 - January 3, 2006
A lovely place for a lovely island.  Our hearts belong to Maui, but we enjoyed every moment of Kauai.  Thanks for sharing.  Our 5 and 3 year olds ask for a warmer pool!  Cheers and Happy New Year.

December 4  - December 12, 2005

What a beautiful place Kauai is.  We have spent 8 wonderful days here enjoying our honeymoon together.  There isn't a better place we could've gone.  It has been so relaxing being able to sit and enjoy the incredible ocean sounds and amazing scenery.  We are ready to get home, but sad to leave our beautiful new paradise.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.  It's had everything that we could've ever needed.  It was fun for us to be able to make all of our meals here together.  Thanks again.  Mahalo.

Much love, "The Newlyweds"

November 25  - November 29, 2005
My kind of place!  So neat and organized.  You have thought of everything!  What a jewel!  I have been coming to the islands since 1978 & this is one of the best places - want to come again to #210!  You are so fortunate to have this piece of paradise!  Mahalo for letting us share.

November 20  - November 23, 2005
Our family met in L.A. and came over to Kauai for a few days.  Beautiful condo.  Very comfortable, clean, great "private" beach  REally loved all the homey touches in condo, games, boogie boards, etc.  Mahalo!

November 7  - November 17, 2005
This is our 2nd visit here, we really enjoyed it.  Our 1st visit was 5 years ago on our 25th anniversary & now for our 30th anniversary.  The best part was re-doing our vows in the Fern Grotto.  Not a morning passed without sitting, having coffee & watching the sunrise or an evening getting home from dinner and having a late night cocktail just watching people & waves.  We covered a lot of the island again and saw some things we had not seen the first time.  The condo is like a home away from home.  We've even talked about getting a place of our own.  The only thing that bothered me is that the island is getting too crowded, there's more traffic & motorcycle.  I just hope they don't build too many new places.  I hate to see the island lose its beauty to concrete and condos.

Thanks  we loved it again & will return.

October 17  - October 22, 2005
This is our second stay here at WBV.  Our first stay 6 years ago was for our honeymoon.  Our second stay we ran away from our 2 kids and left them with Grandma!  This place is fantastic.  We were very impressed with all the amenities to making guests feel like home.  This is a magical place and we are truly relaxed.  On a full moon, enjoy a small fire on the beach.  Enjoying the moonscape is the perfect way to end your evening.

Mahalo

October 9 - October 16, 2005
Just finished up a 7-night honeymoon stay at WBV 210.  The condo was in great shape with every amenity under the sun (including a fire starter for a late-night beach bonfire.)  Thanks you for letting us share your home away from home.  We're off to Maui now, but I can't imagine a place more beautiful or exotic than Kauai.  We spent several days hunting out hidden beaches and rogue hiking trails.  It seems there is an adventure around every corner here.  Our favorite spots were dinner at Cafe Hanalei (Princeville Hotel) and looking at a postcard sunset, and Air Kauai Helicopter ride, and of course, the beaches.  Our favorites were Polihale, Kauapea (Secret) Beach, Lumahai and Kipu Falls (great rope swing and the place where they filmed the opening scenes of the Raiders of the Lost Ark.)

Thanks again, we had the time of our lives.

October 1 - October 10, 2005
We had a great time.  We found your attention to detail very refreshing.  Your guidebooks were very informative.  We hope to come back here someday & of course with more time.  As we say in Mexico:  "Hasta Pronto"

We felt at home here & would definitely like to stay in your home again!  This island is enchanting & I'm already planning my next vacation here!

Thank you!

September 28 - September 31, 2005
Although our time was limited on the island of Kauai, we had an amazing time.  Our room was absolutely unbelievable.  I would stay out for hours on the balcony watching the surfers and enjoying the beauty.  We truly felt at home here.  When we do come back, we hope to rent this same apartment.  Thank you for allowing us to share your home as well as all your amenities.

September 14 - September 28, 2005
We came to Kauai with my parents as well as my sister.  Her husband and their 2 boys.  We all stayed at Wailua Bay.  This was a family vacation to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday!  We had a great time and enjoyed our time in this condo.  It is very nice and has all the comforts of home.  The unit was very clean and all of the towels are in perfect condition and clean!  I can tell that previous guests have left some items behind (sunscreen, lotion, etc.)  We'll be sure to do the same.  Fred is very nice and is a great resource.  Thank you for allowing us to stay here. J

July 20 - September 7, 2005  (Ed is an annual guest at Wailua Bay View)
As emerald ocean sprays cool lava rocks lining Kalihiwai Beach and tropical tradewinds "fan" the sun worshippers, another tranquil summer here on the garden island.

Many relaxing days were spent on my favorite beaches.  First choice Kalihiwai, second, Lumahai.  Both beaches bring their own beautiful land-scapes, towering cliffs, and shorelines scalloped with magnificent beauty.

Events or outings enjoyed include:  1.  Touring the island, driving the west side,  2.  Waimea Canyon,  3.  North Shore,  4.  Poipu Beach front, 5.  Kauai Coffee Plantation, 6. Koloa Plantation Days Celebration, 7. Hanapepe, all stops in between.

Favorite ones:  Tahiti Dance Competition, and Kauai's County Fair.

Most meals were eaten on the lanai with the gorgeous view of the ocean, however, friends and I did enjoy having lunch at JJ's Broiler, Aloha Kauai Pizza (located in the Marketplace) Dinners at  Tahiti Nui, and where a lot of locals go "The Shack" and the "Wailua Marina"

Strongly recommend the "Smith Tropical Luau"  I've seen it many times over the years!  Fabulous night out!

My night gives way to a tropical breeze, bringing together lasting memories.  The rays of sun have now turned to gold, giving the land an awesome glow.  With the full moon bright on this paradise night, another summer ending on colorful Kauai.

It's great to enjoy your condo and island!  Enjoyed the songs on the Hapa Collection CD.

Aloha & Mahalo

June 22 - July 20, 2005
Owner stay - no comment to post - had a great time as always!

 May 25 - June 5, 2005
Our third trip to Hawaii, first to Kauai.  Had a great anniversary week on the garden isle!  Surprisingly little rain for the wettest place on earth.

Thank you for sharing your condo with us.  It was a perfect centrally located home base for our daily adventures.

Loved the Alakai Swamp boardwalk hike.  (10 miles round trip from the Kalalau lookout)  The Na Pali coastline mostly fogged in that day, but gave up a perfect keyhole peek at the shore just as we arrived at eh end of the trail before it was swallowed again in mist.

Also had a great time with the Princeville Ranch Zip and Dip zipline adventure and Air Kauai helicopter tours.  Good seafood at Wahooo in Kapa'a and Bali Hai in Princeville.  Very romantic sunset at Polihale Beach.  Kauai snorkeling was less than we hope for, but every beach we went to was gorgeous.

Aloha and Mahalo

WBV 210 was a great home base for our East, South and West Shore explorations.  It's a delight to stay in such a well-outfitted unit - loved the washer and dryer - we are heading (1st time ever for us) home from a holiday with (mostly) clean clothes!

Wahooo seems like a super new Kapa'a restaurant.  We're movie buffs - a nice eve out was dinner at the Lighthouse Bistro & "The Interpreter" at the Kilauea Theatre - still independently owned & operated which means no soda & candy ads as part of the previews!  Our ipod of music from home worked great with your radio - nothing like Duke Ellington on a moonlit eve, sipping cocktails on the lanai...  Surf was up at Wailua Beach!  We saw rainbows, rainstorms and white pigeons who also enjoy the railing on the lanai - We wondered if they are descendants of the carrier pigeons who used to carry messages to Ni'ihau?

Other highlights:  Limahuli Garden, Polihale Beach, Queen's Pond, Hindu Temple Tour and of course Air Kaua'i helicopter ride.

Mahalo nui loa...

We were only here a few short stays but we love your "home away from home"!  It's superbly furnished & lovely place to stay! This was our very first visit to Kauai & we love it here and hope to be back.  Our hearts are in Maui, but I think we have room for Kauai too!  You have great taste in music!  We used the Keali'i Reichel song "I will be there" at our wedding in Maui!  We will have to devote more days to this lovely part of paradise on our next trip... just too short to see all the beauty.  Thanks for all the tips in your book!  It came in real handy!  Mahalo and Aloha

Owner stay - no comment to post - did some regular maintenance to the condo.

April 18 - April 26, 2005
We had a lovely time on Kauai.  This was our 4th visit to Kauai & we enjoyed the best weather.

Your apartment has a very "homey feel" and is superbly furnish from kitchen appliances to beach toys.  We appreciated the clean, well maintained features and its great location on the island.  We would love to return.  Thanks!

April 9 - April 17, 2005
Had a great week - with our 5 year old daughter.  We wanted to find beaches that were kid-friendly - Poipu and Lydgate had a calm, protective area that was perfect.  We didn't eat out much, but did enjoy Waimea Brewing Company - the beer was good.  I also recommend the nachos with shredded pork.  We also went to Smith's Tropical Garden Luau, if you get there early, you can walk around the property, which has all sorts of plants and birds.

Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your comfortable condo.  We love your collection of Hawaiian art and made good use of your guidebooks.  We hope to return to this beautiful isle one day.

Thanks for sharing your love of Kauai with us again.  We were fortunate this trip with whale sightings all but 2 days!  One afternoon we spent a good 20 minutes watching a mother teaching its baby to breach and flap its fin!  Amazing!  Another morning we watched a large school of dolphins swim across the horizon (30+)!!!  A new experience was watching snorkeling with flashlights!  Your condo has everything we could ever want and we appreciate the Kauai movie collection, library, menus and Hawaiian Music.  Keali'i Reichel is a part of our collection - thanks to your introduction J We have been all over the island and this is the best location to enjoy sunshine and a beautiful bay at the same time.  We will be back!  Here is wishing you and your family many more years of pleasure on this perfect island!  Bliss...

Beautiful Kauai - We love it!

Thank you for sharing your lovely condo with us.  The decor reflects your love for the island!  We are very comfortable here and plan to return to this location!  We recommend the sunset cruise or the whale watch.  We had a wonderful time with old friends and new friends.

July 21- September 21, 2004  (Ed is an annual guest at Wailua Bay View)
Spent two months here on Kauai.  It was awesome.  As three-minute showers pass over-head and South Pacific Tropical Sun-rays warm the golden sands of cream colored beaches while being surrounded by towering sea-side cliffs, misty rain-forests, magnificent Waimea Canyon and colorful  sunsets, this is paradise.

It's hard to imagine a place on this Earth more beautiful than Kauai.  If you're seeking solitude and natural beauty, Kauai is one place you'll find it.

My days were spent on my favorite beaches, just totally relaxing.  Also enjoyed the Annual Tahiti-Fete.  Great crowd pleaser!  Dining at my favorite restaurants, and hanging with my friends.

My days are numbered, my footsteps are few, I'm walking the beaches, and thinking of you.  Tomorrow I say "good-bye" to my friends, my plane will return, just you wait and see, to my "Garden Island" home we call Kaua'i

Mahalo!
